gal (b. 2000, locarno, switzerland) combines mediums in a very aware way. it’s an often overlapping combination between videomaking, performance, painting, theatre, music, ai, moving image, or installation. he combines them in a personal yet relatable way. being born in a clown’s family and doing physical theatre since a young age, gal uses (his) body and movement as storyteller and point of view.
because of his big influences and fashination from popular culture (such as youtube, memes, music, and tv), everyone can understand the art gal makes. gal also wants to try to bring those references not only to create an accessible form of art, but also a more fun one.
gal is often playing with the conflict between humanity and artificiality, analog versus digital, meme versus tradition.
gal is interested in journalism (which he has a degree on), (his) queerness, movement, colors, memes, people, clowing, (social) media, politics, bodies, ai, sex.
